I have only seen one episode of Chef, via the repeats on BBC1, but I had to admit, that I thought, that it was great, and I did watch it, to see Everton(Roger Griffiths), because I liked him, as Cliff in Captain Butler, but if any one on this page, is interested in my Captain Butler page, I have submitted, the web reference, just in case!

Chef is one of the best British shows I've ever seen. Linny Henry is brilliant, with the fastest, funniest mouth around.

As a chef who has worked for twenty-five years in the business I can certainly relate to Chef! I can't stop laughing at the similarity to myself. I am glad I am not the only one out there. Bravo Chef. Perfection prevails!

Well, I got the news that I'm sure no one here wanted to hear. There is not going to be any more Chef. Series III is it. :( Lenny Henry was asked this while recently in Australia, and he said that there wouldnt be a Chef IV, he's doing his new series (mentioned below by some others). That's too bad, I would have really loved to have seen the story go on. However, the final episode of Series III did leave it in a good spot to "end", though. :)

WONDERFUL sight. Thanx for all the hard work!!!! Chef has become my fave Britcom. I "discovered" it while attending culinary school. Anyone who has worked in a "professional" kitchen knows that this show is all too real. Anyone who would like to trade "horror" stories of life in a kitchen-- contact me ..

Hello! I loved Chef! ever after seeing it on public tv in Detroit, Michigan. My own public tv here in Louisiana is lame, and I only have one season of the show on tape. (Incidentally, what season it is I don't know.) Can anyone tell me where I can get all three season on videotape? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Sincerely, Nils Breckoff.

I was in England and I watched the show a little. I thought it was very funny and had good situations that could be more interesting. Keep up the good work

I agree with the statements that the 3rd series not quite as good as the first two series. The name of the show is chef after all and the writers should go back to that premise. However, I think every show must go thorugh this stage to get the viewers aquianted with the charaters more and what they do outside of thier 'work'.

I strongly agree with that last person, the first 2 series of CHEF! where excellent, but it all seem to change in the third series. hopefully if they make a fourth they will go back to how it was. this site rulez

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT I FOUND THE FIRST TWO SERIES OF CHEF IS PRETTY CLOSE TO THE REAL LIFE OF BEING A CHEF IN A HIGHER CLASS ESTABLISHMENT OR HOTEL. HTE THIRD SERIES OF CHEF WAS A BIT OF A LET DOWN AS IT PRETTY MUCH MOVED AWAY FROM THE KITCKEN AND INTO THEIR LIVES. THIS SHOW HELPED ME DEAL WITH STICKY SITUATIONS IN THE KITCHEN WITH MY STAFF AND THE RESTAURANT STAFF. SO SINCE THIS SHOW HAS FINISHED NOW I WOULD LIKE TO FIND FELLOW CHEFS TO TALK TO AND HELP EACHOTHER WHICH EVER WAY WE CAN . SO E-MAIL ME ALRIGHT

In Episode 7 of the second series, "England Expects", Gareth enters a competition in France, using exclusively English ingredients. One of the biggest laughs in the episode comes from his search for a quality English wine. Can anyone tell me what the wine is that he uses. Does this wine really exist, or is it just a fictional one for the program? Thanks.

I just went to England two days ago and I have all of the information about the show all of you would want to know and for a fact I know that there is no more series 4 to come. Lenny Henry is coming up with a new show for the BBC that I don't know of yet. I now have a lot of stuff of Lenny Henry including his 1995 biography and hi very rawnchy albums "Lenny Go Home" and "Lenny Henry Live and Loud" only sold in the U.K. I saw the restaurant that "Chef!" was made after and Lenny Henry propared for the making of his show. It is a two Michelin star restaurant ( just like the show) operated by John Burton-Race called the L' Ortolan. The cabby that took me and my family from Heathrow airport ( the one episode 6 series 3 was filmed at to get Janice back including this is the last episode made) knew Lenny frome when he was in the crowd of the show that brought international fame and the box office bomb that lost his chance to make it in Hollywood "True Identity" from 1991 wich I have it but it has been made a vender-pul so you can't even rent it. I went through hell (mind my French sorry) to get it. It took me 1 year to get it. Lenny Henry lives and the restaurant "Chef!" is made is locatated at would be in Redding England. One last thing for your information Gustof's ( Iran Mcneese, spelling might be off) last movies are Ace Ventura 2... a few others in between and most recent is Cameon Diez's (spelling might be off) "A Life Less Ordanary" If you want to E-mail me there will be a problem because I have to tell you I don't know how to use the bloody thing. but this web sight is a GOD to me so I will be back. THANK YOU FOR THE MOST BEST WEBSITE ON THE WEB. I will write back when I have more information. BY!!!

Cheers, I was watching the debut of Chef! on TVO in Ontario and was hooked by such characters that may run a restaurant but fail miserably as knowledgeable to handling of people. I laugh constantly at the many people, I have worked for and resemble Mr. Gareth Blackstock, for they know nothing about me, my ability/experience or talent for any restaurant related job. I worked in the restaurant business for 17 years, I can bake{the best bread at Camp Onondaga-> in Minden, On said to me by the harshest critics children}, I have cooked and assisted chefs preparing dishes, and making sauces... whatever needed to be done!! I can bake bread from scratch... cakes as well, although practise may be necessary to perfect. I have worked for people who make Gareth Blackstock look like a Golden Retriever Puppy. As of late, my kitchen experience was a dishwasher at Mack's Grill in Edmonton, Ab Canada... I was the fastest, the best and most efficient worker they ever had there, I would finish before the rest of the Kitchen workers/Chefs were completed. I knew most of what they were attempting to do by observing their techniques and non-efficiency work ethics. My former Employer accused me of such menial things and fired me... that was the best news I could ever receive!! Before I was made redundant, Chef Harry Nelson was let go for wanting to pursue another opportunity and the employer treated him such distain, at least Gareth Blackstock has some semblance of Professionalism to write a Letter of Reference for poor ol' Harry!! I knew my days were numbered, when I would quite frankly outperform and outwork the other person working there, and having to compensate for their ineptitude. The Kitchen itself has no Mission Statement, no real sense of purpose and the people here are Great Chefs and people, but crummy Ownership. If anyone has ever worked in a Kitchen, where one person is Extremely Lazy... you know exactly where I am coming!! All in All, Chef Blackstock is a Bastard, but at least he knows that push comes to shove, he has some semblance of Professionalism, Humanity and an Equalibrium... his wife Janice!! Well, Cheers and "Welcome to the Occupation"{R.E.M.} of Cooking, may your journey be a less bumpy one than mine! Sam

In an episode of Chef, Everton makes Guiness Punch. (Second season?) My fiance's birthday is coming up and he's been obsessing over trying to find the receipe. Is it fiction or does it exist? If it does exist, please email me any information you may have by July 20th. Thank you!
